CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS ORDERING SYSTEM — QUICK HELP This sandbox is for testing. It does not send email to Graeme and does not change the live application. 1. START AN ORDER Enter your name, education centre, and delivery day/class time (for example, Tuesday PM). Choose the level and enter the number of students. 2. PRACTICAL UNITS Tick the practical units needed for the class. Use Search units to find a unit or material quickly. Click Calculate Materials to create the combined material list. Duplicate materials are merged. 3. ADDITIONAL / TOP-UP MATERIALS Use this section for a one-off item or a top-up that is not linked to a practical unit. Enter the material description, quantity, and unit (for example: OSB board, 2, sheets). You can use additional materials on their own or together with practical units. 4. SUPPLIER PRICES Select a material and use Check supplier product codes. Confirm that the dimensions, grade, and units match. Previously identified products appear first. If there is no confirmed match, use View supplier product or paste a product page link and check it. Select the correct product for Excel. The supplier, product code, price, and unit are carried into the order documents. 5. REVIEW AND DOWNLOAD Check quantities and edit an order quantity when needed. Download the Excel form and PDF distribution summary. The PDF identifies who ordered each item and the education centre it must reach. All stock is delivered to Midlothian campus first. 6. SUBMITTING ORDERS Submit order adds the order to the normal Friday collection. Submit before Friday 08:00 UK time for the 08:30 batch email. Orders at or after 08:00 go into the following Friday's batch. Rush order prepares a separate rush order for that particular request. In this sandbox, submissions are test records only and no email is sent. 7. TEST ORDERS Open Review test orders from the yellow banner to see saved sandbox orders and weekly previews. Mistaken sandbox orders can be deleted from that page. This does not affect the live application. 8. RESET Reset clears the current calculator selections and draft on this browser. It does not delete saved test orders. If something looks wrong, note the material name, quantity, browser, and the steps that led to the problem.
